Although Valle del Cauca was once one of the epicenters of the Colombian
armed conflict, has a lot to offer. It is located on the Pacific
coast of the country and borders the provinces of Chocó, Tolima and Cauca. The valley is
considered one of the most fertile areas of Colombia, flows through it
Cauca river. This river plays a vital role in the coffee industry because it is
the basis of their approach to coffee cultivation.
Farmers in the region are very aware of the importance of water management, ecological farming practices and the protection of the region's natural resources.
A great example is Finca Bet-El in Calima. Her owner, Cesar
Ledesma focuses on the production of special microliths originating from
its agroforestry plantations. The vision of protecting the ecosystem is evident on
a farm where nature flourishes beautifully. Over a farm full of varieties like
pink Bourbon, Sudan Rum, Geisha, Castillo and Yellow Tabi, you can see
fly hundreds of different types of birds. Thanks to Cesar focusing on
conservation and care of the ecosystem on the farm, does not use any pesticides.
It also favors post-harvest practices that consume less
water, and the coffee beans are dried using methods that return water from the drying process
back to nature.
We are pleased to offer you anaerobic pink bourbon
originating from Beth-El Farm. The lot was carefully picked by hand, 86
hours fermented and then dried in the sun. The result is a clean, complex cup with
fruity aroma and sweet tones of wild strawberries, apricots and candies.
