Region and terroir
Brazil Doce Samba coffee comes from the renowned Cerrado Mineiro region in the state of Minas Gerais, which is one of the most important and stable areas for specialty coffee production in Brazil. This region is characterized by extensive plateaus and a regular alternation of rainy and dry seasons.
The local climate, with warm days, cooler nights, and abundant sunshine, creates ideal conditions for the even ripening of coffee cherries. The result is beans with high sweetness, low acidity, and a full, characteristically velvety Brazilian profile.
Carpec Cooperative: Tradition, facilities, and traceability
This coffee was prepared in cooperation with the agricultural cooperative Carpec, based in the city of Carmo do Paranaíba. The cooperative was founded in 1965, has deep roots in the region, and today operates in 16 other associated municipalities. It brings together hundreds of local growers — from small producers focused on microlots to large farms.
Carpec provides farmers with comprehensive facilities, including:
Modern storage capacities for more than 300,000 bags of coffee with guaranteed full traceability of origin.
Specialized agronomic assistance and guidance in cultivation.
Top-notch technical facilities, including modern laboratories for professional cupping.
Internationally recognized sustainability certifications, such as UTZ Certified.
Sustainability and community projects
At Carpec cooperative, they believe that true cooperation means, above all, investing in people. In addition to expert coffee care, they therefore implement a number of projects that positively change life in rural Brazil:
Women Who Inspire
A project aimed at the empowerment and recognition of women in agriculture and business. Through specialized courses, technical training, leadership skills development, and discussion circles, it helps participants in their personal and professional growth, builds strong support networks, and creates a more inclusive coffee environment.
Keeping an Eye on Quality
An initiative focused on continuously improving production quality. The cooperative's agronomists conduct regular visits directly to farms and ensure sensory analysis of each harvested batch. This helps farmers get the best out of their work and connects them with demanding international buyers.
